Each issue of Employment INsights, we’ll feature a two minute Tech Tip with information on how you can leverage technology in your job search. Below, meet David Pope, our Tech Tip Guru.

Dave Pope

Dave Pope is an award winning national speaker, entrepreneur, and educator. Dave is the president and founder of the PDA School in Fairport, NY; a company focused on training and solutions for mobile technology. Dave speaks to groups around the country about discovering, integrating, and maximizing technology that allows them to be truly mobile. His repertoire includes smartphones, cloud computing, sales techniques and software, and social media.

After his award winning motivational speech, Standup, at this year’s district International Speech contest, Dave has also become a successful motivational speaker and speaking coach. Dave speaks to businesses, church groups, and schools about facing challenges and making the choice to stand up. He has a true understanding of what it means to lose everything and come back. He shares the good and the bad about his life and how he has made the positive choices everyday to have a rich and full life and how others can tap their own inner potential to be great!

Dave is also a member of Toastmasters, an organization dedicated to helping individuals develop their speaking ability. He is currently serving as his club’s President. He has won numerous awards for his speaking ability including, Humorous Speaker, Tall Tales, and International and is currently writing a book about public speaking.

Dr. Neil Hair

Neil Hair, Ph.D. is a professor at the E. Philip Saunders College of Business, Rochester Institute of Technology. He holds Chartered Marketer Status from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, a PhD from Cranfield as well as degrees from Sheffield and Cardiff Business Schools. He teaches a range of classes which focus on the use of the internet in enhancing business to consumer, business to business and consumer to consumer experiences.

Neil’s research looks at how and why people form bonds in electronic communities, brand equity, and students positive learning experiences.

Deborah Mourey

Deborah Mourey has spoken around the country on the topic of marketing best practices, including social media for customer service and product development as well as social networking for business to business and business to consumer companies. She has taught at the Rochester Institute of Technology and at Roberts Wesleyan College.

Deborah is a marketing executive with demonstrated performance in driving profitable revenue. Her expertise in traditional and digital marketing has helped establish her as a thought leader in using the power of the Web 2.0 toolkit to create deeper engagement with customers.

Steve Tylock

Steve Tylock is the author of the first book on LinkedIn for the business professional, The LinkedIn Personal Trainer. He is a speaker, trainer, and technologist with more than 20 years of experience building and revitalizing effective infrastructure solutions.
